Of Service began with one vision—and a story.
A quiet offering of trust, shared in stillness, became the beginning of something larger. One portrait became many. One story became a space where others could feel less alone.
This page is for current or former service personnel and first responders who feel they may have something to share.
It might be a memory, a moment of change, or a reflection that has stayed with you. It may carry pain, courage, humour, grief—or all of these at once.
There is no right way or wrong way to begin—only your intent, and the choice to express it in your own time and your own words.
We understand that sharing can be difficult. Sometimes, it’s not about the outcome—it’s about letting something breathe, even if quietly.
Your story will not be made public automatically. All submissions are received in confidence, and nothing will be shared without your explicit permission. Some may become part of future creative work—perhaps a second edition of Of Service, or something yet to be imagined. Others may remain private, but still serve a purpose: to remind you that what you’ve carried matters.
Please know: Of Service is not a clinical service, an ESO, or a welfare organisation. We are not here to diagnose or direct.
But we are here to listen. And if sharing is something that feels right for you—we are honoured to receive your story.
